At The Brenda Faye Initiative, we strive to create a world where quality education is accessible to all and cancer is effectively treated and eradicated. We are committed to advancing educational opportunities for underrepresented communities and supporting cutting-edge cancer research, education, and treatment.
OUR INITIATIVES
WHAT WE DO
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
- Scholarships for Students: Award annual scholarships to students from underrepresented backgrounds pursuing higher education
- Teacher Grants & Training: Provide grants to teachers for classroom supplies, educational projects, and professional development. Additionally, Offer professional development opportunities and support for teachers in underfunded schools.
- Mentorship: Establish a mentorship program that connects experienced educators with new teachers and students with mentors who can provide guidance, support, and inspiration.
CANCER INITIATIVES
- Research Grants: Fund research projects focused on early detection, innovative treatments, and finding a cure for Cancer.
- Patient Support: Provide resources and support for patients and families affected by cancer, including counseling and financial assistance for treatments.
- Awareness Campaigns: Conduct public awareness campaigns to educate people about cancer, its symptoms, and the importance of early detection. Partner with health organizations to educate students and teachers about cancer and other health issues.
